Transcript [00:00] we have a very special guest a friend [00:02] and also a colleague National Religious [00:04] broadcasters vice president of public [00:06] policy and Communications Noel Hena I [00:09] love that last name it such a cool name [00:11] anyway so we are bringing her over to [00:13] the show if you guys are tuning in [00:14] watching on the YouTube channel you'll [00:16] get to interact with us but also as you [00:19] were listening to this live segment we [00:20] are talking about the brand new article [00:22] that she put out in Newsmax It's All [00:24] About Women and Ladies we have been [00:27] having very specific conversations in [00:29] the past couple weeks about the women [00:31] vote so i' would love to bring you over [00:33] to the show and introduce you to Noel [00:34] thank you so much for being here thank [00:37] you so much Eden for that kind [00:38] introduction absolutely so your Newsmax [00:41] article in 2024 America can elect the [00:44] women women's president let me say that [00:46] again in 2024 America can elect the [00:49] women's president talk to me about the [00:51] very heart of this article that was run [00:53] in [00:54] Newsmax well absolutely thank you Eden [00:57] well this piece is a call to action for [00:59] all women especially Women of Faith [01:01] because the president who is elected in [01:02] 2024 the 47th president of the United [01:05] States will inherit numerous issues that [01:08] affect the day-to-day Life of the [01:10] American woman this person in fact in my [01:12] point of view has the opportunity to [01:14] leave a defining Legacy as the women's [01:16] president if they set policy based on a [01:19] positive vision of who the American [01:20] woman is so there were a couple things [01:23] that really stood out to me in this [01:25] article I just want to highlight this [01:27] for the audience as they're listening [01:28] and you highlight American women are [01:31] industrious they're resilient and they [01:33] deserve a thoughtful assessment of their [01:35] interest you were saying that they own [01:37] and operate 40% of all businesses in [01:40] America they are looking out for the [01:42] health and financial well-being of their [01:44] households and this includes cost of [01:47] basic necessities cost of child care and [01:50] quality education options for their [01:52] families one thing I've noticed in [01:54] talking to a lot of the guests on the [01:56] show it is come to a point where moms go [01:59] to the store dads go to the store and [02:00] they say okay I have a necessity to buy [02:03] diapers versus buying something I want [02:06] that book over there or whatever so you [02:09] break down that business aspect and [02:11] really what it's lending to the economy [02:14] and I've said to this audience many [02:15] times do you want someone in office [02:18] who's gonna put money back on your table [02:20] and back in your bank accounts or Who's [02:21] Gonna Take It All Away you know let me [02:23] get extreme here I can say it but I like [02:26] how you brought that talk about that [02:27] point that you brought up in this [02:28] article well that's exactly right Eden [02:31] you touched on those simple day-to-day [02:33] tradeoffs that parents have to think [02:35] about in America every day and look [02:37] these issues affect women whether they [02:38] work inside the home outside the home or [02:41] both like you said women own and operate [02:43] 40% of all businesses in America but [02:45] even if they work at home they look [02:47] after their family they are decision [02:49] makers every single day a home is like a [02:51] small business in many ways and the left [02:54] has not been an honest dealer when it [02:56] comes to women's interests the truth is [02:58] that there is consensus around some [03:00] issues that are nonpartisan that are [03:02] affecting women every day and the fact [03:04] that the left has chosen to platform and [03:06] really make the centerpiece of its [03:08] platform issues that are divisive [03:10] contentious and very very challenging [03:12] that is directly in opposition to the [03:14] consensus that says that women's top [03:16] issue is the economy it is not abortion [03:19] why is the left doing this the short [03:21] answer is that it's a cover for failed [03:23] policy under the Trump Administration [03:25] women's median income Rose [03:27] year-over-year [03:28] in recent years we're seeing that [03:31] families are having to look for an [03:32] additional [03:34] $12,500 just to enjoy the same standard [03:37] of living that they had three years ago [03:39] that is the American dream in Decline [03:41] the prices of household goods are [03:43] skyrocketing this is universally across [03:45] age groups women are saying this is [03:47] their number one issue yeah well you [03:52] know the financial aspect is one major [03:54] issue but the other thing I sit here and [03:56] say we both are Women of Faith and the [03:59] people that tuned into the show it is a [04:01] heavy Faith audience which I'm so [04:03] thankful for and one thing I have [04:06] questions having run for office sitting [04:09] where I do sitting behind the microphone [04:12] but also running my own business I'm a [04:14] woman of Faith why is it you bring up [04:17] the woman of faith and the vote in this [04:19] article at Newsmax and I guess my bigger [04:21] question my generalized question is are [04:24] Women of Faith afraid to engage in the [04:26] Public Square are they afraid to be a [04:29] part of this Monumental time in our [04:32] history is that you know and you can I [04:36] would love to hear your thoughts on that [04:38] but is that a greater rooted issue that [04:41] we as American Christians and [04:43] evangelicals need to be talking [04:46] about well absolutely I don't think that [04:48] we can have a full conversation about [04:50] women's interests without talking about [04:52] the role of women of faith in this [04:54] election look Women of Faith should be [04:56] more attentive to the facts and more [04:58] sensitive to the truth than any other [05:00] group and in fact you know I think that [05:02] Women of Faith are uniquely able to tell [05:04] the difference between authentic and [05:06] inauthentic respect for women and you [05:10] know goals that serve women's interests [05:11] than any other group because [05:13] Christianity respects honors and uplifts [05:16] women in the example of Jesus Christ in [05:18] fact Christianity over the centuries has [05:21] been the antidote to cultural beliefs [05:23] and practices that harm and bring [05:24] dishonor to women and I think that it's [05:26] incumbent on Christian women at this [05:28] time in history in this moment to [05:31] remember that strong and proud Legacy [05:33] and keep that in mind as they go to the [05:34] polls and truly act as Salt and Light as [05:37] scripture says one thing I have said to [05:40] this audience is we need to stay prayed [05:42] up we need to be engaging in that aspect [05:45] we need to be attending church we need [05:47] to be sitting in the pews and having [05:49] these discussions we need to be opening [05:51] up our homes to Common Sense discussions [05:54] those things are the very fundamental [05:57] Foundation of a of a of our country is [05:59] God country and family and the family [06:03] which is such it is the foundation of [06:06] this nation and we see that wanting to [06:10] be Stripped Away by the left and I like [06:12] how you bring that back in you bring in [06:14] the Proverbs 31 Woman you bring in the [06:16] fact that she is a businesswoman and [06:19] that she is engaging in the Public [06:21] Square and you think about all the women [06:23] who have gone before us both in our [06:26] nation's history in our Biblical history [06:28] and how they have set that example are [06:30] we even living up to that [06:33] today yeah well it's so beautifully said [06:36] and you're right proverbs 31 does praise [06:38] this strong and industrious woman who [06:40] sounds so much like the American woman [06:42] that we know today and in fact it says [06:44] that she should benefit from the fruits [06:46] of her labor she should experience the [06:48] rewards and so I think it's so important [06:50] whenever we can see those outcomes in [06:52] policy that's what we want to work [06:53] toward look the truth is at this moment [06:55] in history it may take a long time to [06:58] rebuild consensus around policies that [07:00] truly bear good fruit because the left [07:02] has lied so much about the issues at [07:04] stake in fact a lot of women [07:06] statistically when you look at recent [07:08] polling and research are very confused [07:10] about what issues are actually on the [07:12] table in this election this is the [07:14] bottom line the 47th president is going [07:17] to have the opportunity to implement [07:19] policies that uplift women and families [07:22] or policies that undermine women and [07:24] families it is incumbent on people of [07:26] faith and especially Women of Faith to [07:29] turn out to the polls as Salt and Light [07:32] yeah well with only just days left um as [07:37] we head into election Central and I know [07:39] so many uh you being in the DMV area us [07:44] being down here and one of the [07:45] Battleground States and looking around [07:47] this nation and you know you keep [07:49] mentioning how the left is continuing to [07:52] spew out the lies and even seeing the [07:55] vice president herself on the front [07:58] lines basically blaspheming faith and [08:02] people of faith and you know the time is [08:05] now for we people of Faith to stand up [08:08] for our beliefs because if we don't I [08:12] don't want to even dare say what could [08:14] happen if in fact that would you know [08:17] that would happen on the election day [08:19] that she would be cast as the next [08:22] president would we lose our faith would [08:24] we lose the rights to be able to speak [08:26] in the Public Square all of those things [08:28] need to be talked about they need to be [08:31] talked about in the churches they need [08:32] to be talked about in our community [08:34] groups they need to be talked about on [08:35] the soccer fields and I think people are [08:38] afraid to because they've been censored [08:40] for so long talk to me a little bit I [08:43] want to talk a little bit about National [08:44] Religious broadcasters in the minute we [08:46] have left you guys are on the front [08:48] lines as Christian communicators wanting [08:50] to fight against the censorship wanting [08:52] to fight against of not being afraid to [08:55] stand up for your faith in the Public [08:57] Square talk to us a little bit about [08:58] that [09:00] well absolutely the National Religious [09:02] broadcasters are the leading trade [09:03] Association representing Christian [09:05] communicators globally and Nationwide [09:07] and our members are on the front lines [09:09] you know we like to say if you are [09:11] feeling discouraged or uh you don't know [09:13] where to look for truthful um [09:15] independent uh analysis turn on [09:18] Christian radio turn on Christian [09:19] television listen to Christian [09:21] communicators they're on the front lines [09:23] of defending the truth advancing the [09:25] truth in our culture and really putting [09:27] out messages of encouragement hope as [09:30] well as a really rich source of [09:31] independent analysis and insight that [09:34] includes the women of Christian [09:35] broadcasting they are leading the way [09:37] every day I encourage everyone to look [09:39] at what Christian Media is doing look at [09:41] how Christian Media is covering this [09:42] election um and look there when you're [09:44] feeling discouraged by the lies of the [09:46] mainstream media well said with that [09:49] final 10 seconds where can we engage [09:52] with nrb if there are people tuning in
