of our members and [00:21] friends and media so it's been great to [00:23] be here the last couple days well I'm [00:25] I'm I'm doing my radio program from the [00:28] Salem uh Studios today I do my [00:30] television program I'm sure you're [00:31] familiar with lots of the people working [00:34] here yes yes I am and I'm very familiar [00:37] with that studio uh as as well the [00:40] television side I actually uh had a [00:42] chance to work with the Salem folks in [00:44] that studio [00:45] design um so what what what is the uh [00:49] the Jerusalem prayer [00:52] breakfast so the Jerusalem prayer [00:54] breakast is a a g of people from the [00:57] Jewish community and from the Christian [01:00] Community uh to come together on a [01:02] common ground common faith and a show of [01:05] solidarity uh so there will be a number [01:07] of uh people there on Monday and Tuesday [01:09] at the prayer breakfast we'll hear from [01:11] Michelle Bachmann from uh a number of [01:13] different uh leaders within the [01:15] community uh former Ambassador uh to [01:18] Israel and so it's just a it's just a [01:20] it's a great time for us as Christians [01:23] to come together and show our solidarity [01:25] uh with our Jewish brothers and sisters [01:28] I just had Ryan G dusy on and he was on [01:32] he was on CNN U telling them things they [01:34] didn't want to hear that kamla Harris is [01:37] actually losing Jewish voters um the [01:42] Democrats have not been able to silence [01:45] the anti-Semitism in their party while [01:48] claiming Republicans are racist or even [01:51] anti-semitic um do you see a [01:54] pattern the rampid anti-Semitism in [01:57] their party uh is exactly right you know [02:01] and and look her the Biden [02:03] Administration and even her own comments [02:06] uh about this you know people don't [02:08] realize we still have 101 hostages over [02:10] there three Americans uh she do not [02:13] recognized that she's not called for the [02:15] release of the of the hostages and look [02:18] what what when when I was in Jerusalem [02:20] back in May I think one of the things [02:21] that was so clear to the Jewish people [02:24] and especially to a lot of the Jewish [02:26] people uh that were here from New York [02:28] because they tend to lean more left more [02:30] Progressive was that their own left [02:32] Progressive brothers and sisters have [02:33] left them have left them behind the [02:35] causes that they used to help uh uh [02:38] Champion now and and now this is a party [02:40] of anti-Semitism and it's look it's the [02:43] Christian conservatives that have come [02:45] alongside uh Israel in their time and [02:48] need now and and it's a shame not it's [02:51] not a shame that Christians have done [02:52] it's a shame that the people of America [02:54] the the Liberals have abandoned the [02:57] their their own people [03:00] I answer me this and look you know I I [03:02] don't talk about my faith a lot on the [03:04] radio and uh I'm certainly not a [03:07] religious broadcaster by the standard of [03:09] the National Religious broadcasters um [03:13] although of course I have respect for it [03:15] this is what I don't understand is that [03:18] Democrats will lecture Christian [03:21] conservatives that they're [03:23] fundamentalists and Bible Thumpers and [03:26] they you know keep your religion out of [03:27] my face and all this stuff like when you [03:29] The Ten Commandments going up in [03:31] Louisiana or on the issue of abortion [03:34] they say you know get your get your you [03:35] know get get get your fundamentalism out [03:37] of here but then if you're not for open [03:39] Borders or and an endless well welfare [03:43] state they start wagging their fingers [03:45] at you well if you were a real Christian [03:47] well you can't have it both ways and I I [03:49] find that infuriating and frustrating [03:52] when it comes [03:53] to Christians in [03:55] America they don't like you know you [03:58] I'll I'll I'll restart this they don't [04:00] like people saying this is a Christian [04:02] Nation now of course with the First [04:03] Amendment and The Establishment Clause [04:05] but as far as the majority Faith this is [04:08] a Christian Nation right this is the the [04:10] majority of people in this country are [04:12] are sub subscribed to some form of [04:15] Christianity some sect of Christianity [04:18] so if we say it's a Christian Nation [04:19] they say you can't say that and they [04:20] they'll lose their minds when Christians [04:23] speak through their faith they say hold [04:26] on a second here you know it's almost [04:29] like a tra traffic cop like they'll put [04:30] their hand up as they're waving in other [04:32] people and know you could speak on your [04:34] faith or you could speak from me but [04:37] when it come when when it comes to [04:38] issues like abortion or same-sex [04:40] marriage or whatever it is they say you [04:43] Christians just go off to the side here [04:45] but then when they want to talk about [04:46] open borders in the welfare state they [04:48] say hold on a second now now now now [04:51] Jesus would want Universal Health Care [04:52] you can't have it both [04:54] ways yeah that's exactly right you can't [04:57] have it both ways uh and [05:00] but you're right that's what the left [05:01] tries to do is to have it both ways [05:02] Christians are the only ones that are [05:04] supposed to keep uh their viewpoints [05:06] their viewpoints on policy and how we [05:09] spend our money uh and and how our [05:12] country should create laws they're [05:14] supposed to keep those opinions uh [05:17] somehow in your church because you're [05:18] just you're a Christian you shouldn't [05:20] have those opinions in the Public Square [05:22] you guys need to keep those if you're [05:24] talking about the way you think the the [05:26] country should be governed uh you're [05:28] Christian nationalist you're trying to [05:30] push your your uh religion on us but yet [05:33] as you said at the same time what what [05:35] we have is a leftist constantly pushing [05:38] their ideologies on on society today and [05:40] they're actually the minority of the [05:43] viewpoints you you know how many people [05:46] in in this country still look at ending [05:48] a heartbeat of a baby is still murder [05:51] and and yet they want to go Way Beyond [05:53] Ro roie way they the roie Wade allowed [05:56] the states to have restrictions they [05:58] want to have states with no restrictions [06:00] they want to transgender middle [06:02] schoolers and they and they tell [06:03] Christians we're going to do all this [06:06] you be quiet because when you do it it's [06:09] religion it's religious interference but [06:11] when we do it it's okay right and and [06:15] that's that's the talk of of the welfare [06:17] state and Single Payer and all this you [06:20] know yeah the arguments no room at the [06:23] end and Jesus would you know would [06:25] uplift the poor right Christians do that [06:28] through volunteer work uh they do that [06:31] through their churches through their [06:33] faith-based Community groups we were [06:36] playing can you guys break I'm gonna [06:37] play it for I'm gonna play it again for [06:39] uh okay for Troy can you play let me go [06:42] back to my cut sheet here uh yeah uh cut [06:46] cut 14 this is a homeless advocate in [06:50] Springfield Ohio talking about the [06:54] effect of the migrants play that the [06:56] homeless problem I don't know of a [06:57] single homeless hati in this town [07:00] because they all got vouchers but I can [07:02] show you a whole bunch of people that [07:03] have been displaced cuz I'm that guy rob [07:06] you know for 25 years I've worked with [07:08] the homeless in this community you know [07:11] a lot of people don't know because I'm [07:12] not the guy out there blowing the horn [07:14] because it ain't about me it's the Jesus [07:16] in me that goes out there and does it [07:18] trust me there's days I'm [07:20] tired but I'll get into homeless camps [07:22] that nobody in a suit and tile walk into [07:25] none they trust me because I've never [07:27] let them down you you know [07:31] and guys if you don't think it's here [07:33] right now in October we are getting [07:36] ready to hit a wall here there is not [07:40] any relief for the homeless the homeless [07:43] people in this [07:45] community are not the people you think [07:48] they are the squatters that aren't [07:50] happening it's not there there's [07:54] veterans come see me I'm not real hard [07:58] to find ask anybody on on the street [07:59] they'll tell you how to get a hold of me [08:01] I'll take you there and no they don't [08:03] want your toothpaste and your peanut [08:05] butter [08:05] sandwiches they want you to come up with [08:08] a solution to why they're [08:12] displaced so he says it's the Jesus in [08:14] me most Christians tell me if I'm wrong [08:17] you can correct me at any time I if if I [08:20] if I'm wrong here don't want the [08:22] government doing charity that's for [08:25] people of Faith to do [08:27] voluntarily but we get Democrats who [08:30] will say well if you believe this then [08:32] the government should do that no the [08:35] people should do that for one another [08:38] not the [08:40] government exactly and just like that [08:42] gentleman said he does that because of [08:46] Christ in him and because his faith [08:48] calls him to love one another the [08:50] government is the coldest calluses kind [08:53] of charitable entity there is they they [08:56] don't they live they live far off and [08:58] think that then he talking about the [09:00] people they think if you just give these [09:02] people a voucher give them a sandwich or [09:04] give them this uh you've taken care of [09:06] it but that's not the way it works [09:08] you're the Christians are out there in [09:10] these camps they're they're not only [09:12] helping people for their their physical [09:14] needs and their medical needs but [09:15] they're loving on people they're they're [09:18] helping them understand that they're [09:19] important in life and that and that they [09:22] matter the government can't do that the [09:24] government looks at everybody as a [09:25] number and a statistics and and the [09:28] worst thing that we did charity in this [09:30] in this country uh was back in the in [09:33] the 1920s when the government got into [09:35] the charity charity work uh during the [09:38] Great Depression and and the government [09:40] needs to be out of it and people are are [09:43] are a lot better uh at spending the [09:47] funds and the resources when they're [09:49] theirs and they're accountable for it [09:51] and they know the things that really [09:52] help you can't do that from a [09:54] bureaucratic office sitting in [09:56] Washington [09:57] DC right and you know I I like to use [10:00] this one I'll get callers who will say [10:02] that to me they'll say and again I'm not [10:04] a religious broadcaster we we don't [10:07] spend a lot of our time on on religious [10:10] talk I you know I I leave that to the [10:12] religious broadcasters just like I don't [10:13] talk about sports I leave that to the [10:15] sportscasters um but when we do get that [10:18] call they'll say well Jesus would want [10:20] Universal healthc care and I'll say okay [10:22] can you describe the Roman spear that [10:25] Jesus would use to extract the funds [10:27] they what do you mean I was like well [10:29] that that's a cult of Faith you [10:31] know I I you know it's not sticking a [10:34] spear in the small of somebody's back [10:36] and going turn over your wealth and [10:38] property to me because I'm forcing you [10:41] to it's do it because you believe and [10:44] you feel driven to by faith you [10:47] willingly give that up you willingly [10:49] tithe you willingly donate you willingly [10:52] say I have covered my end and I have [10:55] extra so here I can give [10:59] yeah exactly look the Bible calls us to [11:02] be charitable to the poor uh and we do [11:05] that out of love and obligation for our [11:09] faith and for our religion uh we don't [11:11] do it out of you know coerced into doing [11:15] it by the government and we get to this [11:18] side and the and the Bible talks about [11:20] this a lot we get to this side it's our [11:23] conscience of how that money gets to be [11:25] spent it's it's not that we send it in [11:28] the government takes it away and then [11:30] spins it uh you know providing for [11:32] transgender surgeries and calls that [11:34] well Jesus would want transgender [11:36] surgeries they would want these people [11:38] they take the Bible they take principles [11:40] from the Bible and they pervert them [11:43] because all they do is cherry-picked [11:45] little things out out of the the text [11:47] they don't look at the whole text they [11:49] don't look at what the whole principles [11:51] of the Bible are and one of the [11:53] principles that the Bible has is about [11:55] us being hard workers providing for our [11:58] families uh and the and the government [12:00] just wants to you create this false [12:02] equity and level everybody out and of [12:05] course we've seen how that fails around [12:07] the [12:08] world yeah yeah it's it's the it's the [12:12] shaming and then the blaming right and [12:15] again you you can't you can't say to [12:18] someone keep your religion to yourself [12:21] till I give you the order to to abide by [12:25] something when I call on your faith um [12:28] that's not how this [12:30] Works no well it's look and and they [12:34] hide behind this this whole separation [12:37] of church and state which doesn't exist [12:39] they hide behind this religion you know [12:41] sort of mentality because e even as [12:45] Christians we have a fundamental [12:46] understanding of Economics of fairness [12:49] of what it means to what taxation means [12:52] we understand what tiing means uh we [12:55] understand you know these issues and [12:57] some of these issues aren't even you [12:59] know overtly religious but because [13:02] you're a Christian and you're speaking [13:03] out about it all of a sudden it's like [13:05] no you be quiet you you be marginalized [13:08] you set off the side you don't get to [13:11] have an opinion you don't get to have a [13:13] voice in the governance of our country [13:16] simply because you're a Christian and [13:18] you go to church I you know I'm a deep [13:21] believer in the Constitution and this is [13:24] something I've never understood the [13:26] Democrats will tell you with a straight [13:28] face [13:29] that there is a separation of church and [13:31] state no there is that's from a letter [13:34] we went over this Thomas Jefferson yep [13:37] it it just means the Congress cannot [13:40] declare an official religion of the [13:42] United States because H you know look [13:45] let's just say let's just say they [13:46] picked Christianity you know [13:48] Presbyterians will be going is it going [13:50] to be us is it going to be the menites [13:51] is it going to be the Catholics is it [13:53] going to you know right like they kind [13:54] of wanted to make sure that no one there [13:56] was no church Anglican Church I I I [13:59] totally get that but at the same time [14:02] they will go around saying you can't [14:04] have a Bible Club in a government run [14:07] school because of the First Amendment [14:09] that's not what it says and yet they [14:11] make a space and I'm not trying to um [14:15] you know criticize Muslims when I say [14:17] this but they'll say but it's okay for [14:19] them to use public utility polls for the [14:20] Muslim call to prayer well you can't [14:22] have it both ways [14:24] either right right you can't you [14:27] California schools how to whole week of [14:30] of of uh activities of what it means to [14:32] be a Muslim and they you know ask kids [14:34] and students to go ahead and bring your [14:36] prayer rugs and pray three times a day [14:38] and and and to do these things or as you [14:40] set up in Michigan where they allow [14:42] Public Utilities to be for the call of [14:44] prayer but yet on the Christian side you [14:47] know somehow Christians uh are [14:51] prohibited or restricted and I think [14:53] there's a reason for that the reason is [14:55] that that the morality and the values [14:58] that Christians stand up against uh with [15:01] and and the hope that the gospel message [15:03] gives is in direct contrast in [15:08] opposition to this leftist Progressive [15:11] agenda that they're trying to move [15:13] forward that puts the state in the place [15:15] of God and puts God off way off to the [15:19] side or out of the picture all together [15:21] so that the state is your god the state [15:23] is who you have hope in the state is who [15:25] you depend and that's the attitude of [15:28] these elitists they think they we know [15:30] but you Christians don't know you guys [15:32] are just Hillbillies you just don't know [15:34] you're uneducated we know what's better [15:36] for you so set your conscience aside [15:39] we're going to tell you how Society is [15:41] going to work and you're going to like [15:43] it and and right now Christianity is the [15:47] firewall that stands in their way all [15:49] right one one last thing this is this is [15:51] more of a a question and you again um [15:54] I've always said there's nothing wrong [15:58] with teaching world religions some [16:01] people have thought I was advocating for [16:05] something else I don't I'm going want to [16:07] make sure I get this right when I say it [16:09] I don't think there's anything wrong if [16:11] you're in school and the teacher says [16:14] okay this is what Christians believe [16:16] this is what Jews believe this is what [16:18] Muslims believe this is what Hindus [16:21] believe there's but what we've seen [16:25] though is students being forced to [16:28] affirm things [16:30] do you think it's appropriate to draw [16:32] that line like it's okay to say in class [16:35] this is what these religions teach this [16:37] is their guiding text these are their [16:40] their prominent you know figures as long [16:44] as you don't make any student affirm [16:47] anything out of their faith a absolutely [16:51] a absolutely I think it's it's it's okay [16:54] it's fair to teach world religions to [16:57] teach what the viewpoints are of of the [16:59] different religions around the the world [17:02] and to lay it out there for students to [17:04] understand and make their own uh [17:06] decisions as families as as parents or [17:08] as students uh absolutely Fair we we we [17:12] advocate nrb for the freedom of religion [17:16] not not the freedom of Christianity in [17:18] in America the freedom of religion we [17:20] think that that that this country should [17:23] stay out out of all religions not just [17:25] Christianity they need to the government [17:27] needs to stay out of all of them and the [17:29] government shouldn't prohibit any of [17:31] them but it can't come alongside and [17:34] advocate for one or for the other it it [17:36] it has to stay neutral that was the [17:38] whole idea uh around the first amendment [17:41] the government needs to stay out of this [17:43] but neutral doesn't mean you can tell [17:45] people not to live out their faith
