Transcript [00:00] Troy Miller is a great friend of this [00:03] show Troy is the president of the [00:05] National Religious [00:06] broadcasters uh Association nrb.org.np [00:30] I guess [00:31] early spring late winter however you [00:33] frame that what's February anyway Troy [00:35] Miller is with us and he's written a [00:37] very important piece at Fox News that I [00:39] wanted to call attention to as well [00:40] because given what we just talked about [00:42] Troy and I welcome you in the idea that [00:44] there are uh evangelicals or people of [00:47] faith that we read are thinking of [00:50] sitting this election out I talked a [00:52] little about this on my newsletter [00:53] Friday Troy uh you wrote about this I'm [00:55] glad you did I cannot imagine given what [00:58] we just discussed with Gretch and [00:59] Whitmer the hostility that's coming the [01:01] historic persecution we know has [01:03] happened and what's likely coming for [01:04] all of us of Faith how anyone of Faith [01:07] could sit out right now is beyond me [01:09] good morning Troy that was 7 million [01:12] people that set out in the swing states [01:15] in the swing States in 2020 that would [01:18] have if those people would have show up [01:19] into the polls that would have entirely [01:21] changed the election process because [01:23] most of those uh uh um campaigns most of [01:26] those elections were were decided by [01:29] just a few thousand or 10 thousands of [01:31] people so they would have really decided [01:33] I think there's two things that really [01:35] uh uh Christians have caused Christians [01:37] to set out one of them is there's been [01:39] this emotional you know manipulation by [01:42] politicians and by the left and [01:45] unfortunately by a lot of left leaning [01:48] pastors and Christian leaders out there [01:50] that had this idea that politics and [01:52] Christianity don't mix and that that is [01:55] just bizarre to me because why [01:57] Christianity who for thousands years has [02:00] gone into every culture and changed that [02:03] culture for the better um and it's [02:05] usually changed that culture in the way [02:07] the culture is governed okay why today [02:11] these these liberal [02:13] Progressive uh pastors and leaders [02:17] Christian leaders are doing that and [02:18] that's because they're really all about [02:20] they're just elitist themselves and [02:22] they're about the populism of their own [02:26] uh popularity with with the elites on [02:28] the left as well and then the other one [02:29] is uh not too not enough good pastors [02:34] have clearly addressed the issues from [02:36] their Pulpit that we're facing in this [02:38] country today and so that's two big [02:40] reasons why Christians set out in 2020 [02:43] but Chris I can tell you I don't think [02:45] that's going to happen uh this year I [02:47] think Christians are fed up with it we [02:49] were talking earlier I think before we [02:52] got cut off about gret and Whitmore [02:54] about her mocking of of Catholics we [02:57] know that the FBI has been weapon IED [03:00] the justice department against [03:01] Christians they've knocked on Catholic [03:03] doors they've intimidated Catholic prol [03:05] lifers they have locked up Evangelical [03:09] prolifer um the faith act which is meant [03:12] to protect both uh Pregnancy Care [03:15] Centers and uh abortion centers Planned [03:18] Parenthood centers from uh violence has [03:22] been used against Christians almost over [03:25] a hundred times and barely been used at [03:28] all against those who [03:30] Pregnancy Care Centers uh and and here's [03:32] the really thing those attacks to [03:35] Pregnancy Care Centers were violent they [03:37] were actually burning buildings down and [03:40] yet the FBI hasn't pulled anybody in and [03:42] I think Christians are fed up with it [03:45] Troy I know you're not here in the [03:46] capacity of being a spiritual leader um [03:49] you're not here as a pastor you're the [03:50] president of the National Religious [03:51] broadcasters so I ask this question [03:54] through that prism knowing that you're [03:56] not really here to counsel people U you [03:59] know from a Pulpit per se but when you [04:01] hear [04:02] people uh I I know you count yourself as [04:05] pro-life I count myself as pro-life um [04:08] you know my my pastor speaks [04:09] passionately about life I I hope most [04:11] church leaders do I know most most [04:13] Catholic folks still have a message of [04:16] pro-life uh even if they lean left on [04:18] other social issues I have heard many [04:21] people critical of trump now who are [04:23] pro-life say well now he basically [04:26] sounds like he's offering nothing [04:27] different than what the left does sounds [04:29] like His official position on life is as [04:32] watered down as many on the left and [04:33] that's not acceptable to [04:35] me what do you say in response to [04:39] conservatives and pro-life folks that [04:40] say Trump has moderated his stance on [04:42] life and thus they feel they can't [04:44] support [04:45] him so so here's the issue the pro-life [04:48] issue that I think we we have to [04:50] remember on the pro-life side F first of [04:52] all what Trump did in his first [04:54] Administration was was change the makeup [04:58] of the Supreme Court which gave us the [05:00] Dos decision which which struck down the [05:04] federal the federal uh uh law ruling [05:09] that was was really over all the states [05:11] head so he pushed it back to a States [05:12] issue right now we have a dozen states [05:16] that have pro-abortion legislation [05:19] that'll be on the ballot that's where [05:20] the fight's at the fight's not in the [05:22] presidency anymore the fight is at the [05:25] state level uh where Trump promised it [05:28] to put it and and here's the second [05:30] the fight is well beyond roow versus [05:33] roie Wade because roie Wade allowed for [05:36] restrictions based on the various [05:38] trimesters that a woman was in so there [05:41] were restrictions already Allowed by the [05:43] states under rogy Wade that's not what [05:46] the Democrats want today the Democrats [05:48] want to go Way Beyond roie way they keep [05:50] talking about we're going to go back to [05:51] roie way but they want to go Way Beyond [05:53] Rie Wade all the way up to being able to [05:56] determinate the life of a child [06:00] minutes before it could be born minutes [06:02] before it born the mom could decide that [06:04] for whatever reason for emotional [06:06] reasons her health is at Jeopardy and [06:08] she could have an abortion that's what [06:10] was passed in Minnesota um and some of [06:14] these other states around the country so [06:15] that's where the fight is today the [06:17] fight is not in the White House the [06:19] fight is with the states right now and [06:22] that's what we have to remember on the [06:23] pro-life uh those of us who are fighting [06:25] this pro-life battle Troy Miller [06:27] president of the National Religious [06:29] broadcast [06:30] it occurs to me when you really back [06:31] away from it that those on the left um [06:34] have a policy of Exterminating life in [06:37] the womb and if life should exist [06:40] outside the womb they want to get to [06:41] children as early as possible and start [06:44] to convince them perhaps that their [06:45] gender is malleable um they want to [06:48] start monkeying around with hormone [06:50] Replacements and surgeries and you know [06:52] these children's hospitals are doing [06:54] this pit of Hell stuff now on minor [06:56] children I it it's the stuff of Darkness [06:59] that I can't even get my mind wrapped [07:01] around this this desire this almost lust [07:05] to extinguish life and if they can't [07:07] extinguish it um inexorably alter it [07:11] through medicine um it's I I don't even [07:14] know how to describe it it's so [07:17] wicked well it's it's wicked evil is [07:21] exactly right it's it's perversion with [07:24] no limits they want they want murder [07:25] with no limits now they want perversion [07:28] with no limits who who would have [07:29] thought that it you know when we got [07:31] into this fight when we started into [07:34] politics in the 80s we we were you know [07:36] talking about marriage between a man and [07:38] a woman now we're talking about [07:39] mutilation of middle schoolers um and [07:42] something that they'll never recover [07:44] from that's the they'll never recover on [07:46] there's some great stories out there of [07:49] some of these kids who who who became [07:51] young adults and figured out that wow [07:54] this is not what I really wanted to do [07:56] um and everybody pushed it and and now [07:58] I'm never going to recover from that [08:00] young women who are never going to have [08:02] children and now they realized that was [08:04] just a phase of Fab in their life we [08:06] restrict all these things that kids [08:08] can't do and all of a sudden we we say [08:09] if a kid wants to change his gender uh [08:12] it's look it's absolutely crazy Chris [08:15] what's going on in the culture today and [08:17] it's a deeper issue of the spiritual [08:19] battle that's going on and it goes back [08:21] to why Christians need to get out and [08:23] vote because you're going to elect a a [08:27] not a pastor and chief you're going to [08:29] elect a person who is going to govern [08:32] the nation this is a person who's going [08:34] to decide the policies that drive the [08:37] nation they're going to decide the [08:39] legislation that gets passed for the [08:41] country they're going to decide how the [08:43] money gets spent and they're going to [08:46] appoint nearly 5,000 people that [08:49] actually run the government the people [08:51] that really run the government and [08:53] wouldn't you want those people to hold [08:55] the same worldview that you do to hold [08:57] the same set of moral and values that [09:00] you hold or you're just going to give up [09:03] and say we're going to let anybody run [09:05] this country any kind of pagans these [09:06] evil moral people that's why it is so [09:09] important for people to get to the polls [09:11] today it it occurs to me and I I I [09:15] really have to gently admonish a lot of [09:18] people of faith when they say things [09:21] like you know Trump's not enough this [09:23] for me or enough that for me or I need [09:25] Trump to do more on this front for me I [09:29] respectfully I think that's a bit lazy I [09:31] I don't think we're called to elect a [09:34] president to write all the moral wrongs [09:36] across the country I I think that's on [09:38] us I think that's on our churches I [09:40] think that's in our communities and [09:41] quite frankly I think a lot of local [09:42] churches have abdicated their [09:44] responsibility and tried to push off [09:46] those responsibilities onto Government [09:49] as opposed to take it upon themselves do [09:51] you agree with [09:52] that oh I I do I I absolutely agree with [09:56] that and look I I'll I'll go a step [09:58] further a lot of parent have done that [10:00] as well by advocating the responsibility [10:02] to our school systems when it it's just [10:04] never been that way and I think that's [10:06] again seeing this big push back in the [10:09] country right now because if you look at [10:11] the school Choice Movement that's going [10:13] on throughout the states here uh they [10:15] have been winning battle after battle [10:17] after battle for school choice um in and [10:20] the same thing look the problem lies in [10:24] too many of the pastors too many of the [10:26] pulpits today not shepherding their [10:29] their flocks in the things that are [10:32] important to their flocks and again not [10:35] they're too worried about oh if I get [10:37] into politics I'm going to upset people [10:39] people aren't going to like you people [10:41] are not going to be happy you you know [10:43] for a 175 years of this country all the [10:47] way back to the black robe regiment [10:50] pastors were the ones that drove the [10:53] social issues they talked about what was [10:55] important for people not only in their [10:58] faith and how they act out their faith [11:00] within the walls of their church but how [11:02] they do it within the Public Square and [11:04] the public sector and we drove things [11:07] like the Christians created more [11:09] hospitals go across this country every [11:11] hospital has some sort of Christian name [11:13] to it Mercy Grace St Andrews a Peters [11:16] you know all across this country you you [11:18] have Protestants and Catholics that [11:20] drove education all of these cultural [11:23] issues and suddenly today pastors are [11:26] afraid to stand up and take a risk [11:30] and really really guide their [11:32] congregations in the things that are [11:33] important to make a society moral and to [11:37] have the values of Life the values of [11:40] Liberty and the values of freedom and [11:42] that needs to change Troy just briefly [11:44] while I have you nrb.org.np [11:47] National Religious broadcasters [11:49] nrb.org.np [11:59] part of it if people do not know about [12:00] your organization or might be interested [12:03] um you don't necessarily have to be in [12:04] Communications to attend is that [12:07] right that's right but you think about [12:09] it today Chris everybody's in [12:11] Communications if you have a Facebook [12:12] page and you're out communicating with [12:14] your family and your friends you're in [12:16] Christian Communications today because [12:18] those are the mediums uh that people are [12:20] using to get their information so we'll [12:22] be February 24th through the 27th in [12:25] Grapevine Texas at the Texas Gaylord [12:28] Hotel you can find out more about it at [12:30] nrb.org.np [12:38] CEO we do we will continue to Troy [12:41] Miller um and the piece at Fox News this [12:43] group has the numbers to decide the US [12:45] Presidency if they turn out if Capital [12:49] if if if they do and I can't imagine why [12:51] it's an if but maybe it's still an if [12:53] and so we've got to work hard um all of [12:56] our brothers and sisters of faith in [12:58] Christ we've I sideline sitting is [13:01] certainly not acceptable right now Troy [13:03] thanks a lot for your time today
